Police and Fire

If you're safety conscious, you'll be happy to know that Argo has a first rate Police Department and Fire Department. Because of the highly professional law enforcement in Argo, the crime rate is one of the lowest in the area. In addition to the full time police force, there is a reserve of volunteer officers, as well, to help maintain the peace and help citizens in need. The motto of the Argo Police is Honor, Serve, Integrity. Our Police Department works hard to enforce laws safeguarding the constitutional rights of the people we serve.

Argo Fire and Rescue states their mission as being able to provide the best "protection and service possible to our community through fire prevention, suppression, emergency medical service, rescue and overall public safety." Since the city's incorporation in 1987, Argo Fire and Rescue service has been meeting the needs of the citizens efficiently and courageously.
